Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has no intention of signing with the New York Yankees.
“I will never play for the Yankees,” Guerrero said in an interview with local media outlets such as “The Athletic” ahead of an away game against the Yankees at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York on the 22nd (Korean time), saying, “It will never change.” He reaffirmed that he would not.
Earlier, in an interview with radio host ‘El Dottol Nastra’ in November of last year, he said, “I like playing in New York. Because I like to catch the Yankees. I will never sign with the Yankees. I will not do it even if I die.”
